| Sometimes dental problems are not so obvious. Therefore, we reserve sufficient time for a comprehensive dental examination, which includes accurate laser detection of cavities, and identifying gum infections.

Compatibility testing of dental materials |
We also offer in-office mercury vapor testing of your silver-mercury fillings, and referral for compatibility testing of dental materials, so that we can select the materials which are best for you. |

Since Dr. Gilbert never places silver-mercury fillings, you can be assured that mercury will not be implanted in your teeth. The newest, safer, natural looking cosmetic procedures, with tooth colored porcelain or composites materials can be used instead. If maximum durability is what you want, then gold restorations are always available. |
Treatment of gum infection |
| If we discover you have gum infection, and need gum care to protect your gums, teeth and fresh breath, we always use gentle, non-invasive treatment. We also monitor your progress carefully with modern microscopic examination. If you wish to save an infected tooth, we may be able to help you by using a biocompatible root canal filling material called Biocalex. |
Nutritional consultation for healthy gums and teeth |

For your comfort we can dispense appropriate homeopathic remedies, counsel you nutritionally to support healthy gums and teeth, and should the need arise, refer you to another biological dentist for treatment of cavitations, or to an alternative health care practitioner for mercury detoxification. |
